Statement of Purpose

Indian Creek School's web site supports the instructional, administrative and public relations activities of the School by publishing information, providing teaching and learning resources, and facilitating communication within our community of students, parents, teachers, and administrators, and with the outside world. We support a public web site that can be viewed by any person in the world, and a private web site (via Moodle) that can be viewed by those with an Indian Creek School login ID and password.

Private (Internal) Web Site

Certain web pages can be viewed only if you have a login ID and password. These pages are collectively known as our "private web site". Login IDs are provided to students, parents, school employees, and certain members of our extended community. They are strictly controlled by the Technology Department. Because our private web site is restricted, it may contain student work, images of members of our community, full names, contact information, and other such information that is a necessary component of the information displayed.

Public Web Site

The public web site is viewable by anyone. No password is required. This site is managed by the Indian Creek School Technology Department, in conjunction with the Communications Department, who ensures the accuracy of most of the content, complies with copyright and other legal aspects, protect the privacy of students and their families, and maintains the design and technical health of the site. Certain content of the public web site is provided by other school employees who take full responsibility for its accuracy and timeliness. Examples of this are information about admission, alumni, development, summer programs, athletics, and certain news and calendar information.
It is our policy not to publish identifiable images, names, and contact information of students on our public web site.
Our public web site may contain links to sites outside of Indian Creek School. Indian Creek School is not responsible for the content of those sites, nor any subsequent links from those sites.
The School's public and private web sites may not be used for commercial or political activities, nor may they be used for any purpose that is illegal, causes an unreasonable degradation of web site performance, or otherwise violates generally recognized community standards.

If you believe that any information hosted on an Indian Creek School server is incorrect, out of date, or violates copyright or community standards, you may send e-mail to webmaster@indiancreekschool.org.
