Special subjects are an integral part of the educational program. In the Lower School, specials include Spanish, P.E., Music, Art, Library and Computers. Friday afternoons are devoted to "clubs", which are special interest activities of each child's choice. In Middle School, Spanish is an academic subject taught for a full period five days a week.

Spanish is taught from age 4 through the Middle School at least four times a week. Our program is a blend of conversation, culture, reading and writing.

Physical Education provides students with experiences in individual, group and lifetime sports with an emphasis on body awareness, personal self-confidence, and conditioning.

Music provides experiences in vocal, instrumental, movement, drama and music appreciation. Students perform several times a year with their class, with a choir, orchestra, and band or in a drama production. Opportunities to pursue musical interests are widespread and diverse.

Art offers experiences with a variety of processes and media. Art appreciation is also taught. Middle School students have a weekly art history class that reflects their studies in social studies.The content areas
often integrate with the art scope and sequence.

The Library is a learning focal point for the school. Research skills are taught at first grade and culminate with term papers in the middle school. Whether studying, browsing, or listening to a story,students utilize the library as an important center of learning.
