FINANCING AN INDIAN CREEK EDUCATION
A first-rate education is expensive even though it is "priceless." We appreciate that it is a long-term investment on behalf of families and often involves decisions of sacrifice and compromise. While the primary burden of financing an Indian Creek education is the family's responsibility, we understand its impact and aim to assist you. Our goal is to help you make tuition as affordable as possible so that your commitment and allegiance to the school can be long term. Therefore, we offer tuition assistance in three forms:
FINANCIAL AID PHILOSOPHYIn keeping with our Mission that students at Indian Creek develop a sense of self-worth and respect for others, we seek students from diverse economic backgrounds. Financial Aid is thus available to families of qualified students from Pre-K through Grade 12 who otherwise could not afford to send their children to our school. It is also available for families on a short-term basis if and when a family falls into financial hardship. Application for financial aid is held in strict confidence and has no bearing on admission decisions. NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AIDFamilies can apply for financial aid by following the procedures as detailed in our "Instructions To Apply For Financial Aid" document. Indian Creek requires that families apply through the School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) organization. Application can be accomplished online at www.nais.org by following the directions as detailed under the Admission and Financial Aid menu. MERIT/SCHOLARSHIP AWARDSMerit and scholarship awards are based on criteria other than a family's financial disposition. These awards recognize talent in areas such as academics, arts, or athletics. Eligibility is determined following an application process. At Indian Creek School they are available to students entering the Upper School only. Please call the Upper School Admission Office (410) 849-5170 to request an application and application procedures. TUITION LOAN PROGRAMSLoan programs are arranged between the family and a lending institution. A list of loan companies is available at www.nais.org. QUESTIONS?Please call the Financial Aid Office (410) 923-3660 if you have any questions about how this program can work for you.
