Welcome to Indian Creek School

In January of 2011 I walked through the doors of Indian Creek School for the first time, I immediately knew that The Creek was someplace special. These were the first days of my visit as a candidate for the position of Head of School, and now in that position, I treasure those first impressions: a great place to learn; a great place to teach; a great place to grow.

If you are new to Indian Creek, and visiting the website for the first time, I am a bit envious that you will have the opportunity to walk into the school for your own first impression. Indian Creek blends warmth and enthusiasm that is positively contagious. If you are "A Creeker," you remember that first impression, and it is validated every time you walk in the door. Perhaps that culture is more than contagious, but rather happily infectious.

While Indian Creek prides itself on this positive and inspiring school culture, the school and community are so much more. The school not only inspires, but it challenges and engages students. With a philosophy of teaching students of All Kinds of Minds, the faculty at Indian Creek School helps students achieve academically and prepare for future success. The school day is filled with work that fosters student collaboration, creative thinking, and problem solving and is both rewarding and rigorous.

Our website provides some information, but we welcome the opportunity to meet you personally. As Head of School, I am one of the newest members of this community and incredibly honored to be part of the history we are about to make. There is an excitement at ICS that I have felt throughout the opening of school as I have met students, parents, faculty, and staff. People speak of not only our success, but also of the momentum we have as we move toward the future. Things are happening at the Creek; we welcome all who come to be part of it.
